STEPS is an exciting project to support individuals who are or have been suffering mental/physical health problems begin their journey towards employment.
Persistent or long term health problems have a significant effect on an individual's confidence, motivation, and self esteem, in turn this has the knock on effect of that person feeling worthless, unable to achieve or master new skills.
The thought of returning to work may just be so daunting that it is easier to hide away and/or ignore taking those vital first steps towards meaningful employment and improved health.
If you are unemployed because you have/are suffering from ill mental health or have a physical health problem then the STEPS Project could be for you.
The project will support you as an individual to take the first steps of your journey towards employment, STEPS offer a flexible inclusive programme that will allow you to feel in control of your journey towards work, training or volunteering.
STEPS project starts in April, based at the Hightown Centre
